About the series 'Origins'
’The ’Origins’ series is inspired by history and what we choose to keep from the past. Not least how these physical remains of time gone by make it possible for us to puzzle together events, and sometimes even emotions, of the people who are now long gone.
In these paintings I have, in addition to alcohol ink, also used acrylic paint to created cracked, deteriorated effects and contrast rich backgrounds. ’
The series of artwork was first displayed publicly at Sara M. Pettersson’s exhibition at Galleri Grip in Stockholm, Sweden, in March 2022.
